The greatest feature of a kurti is its versatility. It can be worn to almost every occasion. Be it a casual gathering or a formal party, kurti can make its way through to all such events.

While pairing a kurti is almost hassle free since it goes with patialas, loose pallazos, leggings, jeans etc; I tried creating a look with this flared skirt. The kurti is from one of my favorite online shopping websites Wishalley.com ; made of the softest crepe fabric and the perfect combination of subtle colors just suiting my taste.

Crepe fabric is anyway known for its varied appeal and when you get the finest crepe kurtis at affordable prices, you can only thank your stars. I loaded the look with lot of silver jewellery and went for a light makeup.

The second kurti is a combination of peach and coral bringing in both soft and bright touch to it. While most of us like being fashionable without being in a straitened situation, very few of us actually manage to be chic without burning a hole in our pocket. Thanks to wishalley.com who offers the best options in an economic range. Whether the occasion is grand or not, the wise combination of colors in this attire makes it perfect for any event. I have teamed it with a bright orange pallazo and an orange dupatta which makes it appropriate for a formal occasion as well. For a more dramatic look, you can go for traditional hand accessories and an Indian choker. Thanks to the versatility of kurtis, you can add your flavor as per your personal style and enjoy sporting different looks.

If you feel the tranquilizing vibes of kurtis and want to breathe new life into your wardrobe; it is time to head to wishalley.com and pick some from the amazing collection.

FUSION WEAR : BELT TO THE RESCUE

Fusion wear is a rage that has taken over the fashion world since quite sometime now. People like me who love to experiment and dress up have a lot of options when it comes to creating fusion looks. If you follow me on Instagram – missvogueviolet, you would know my love for the most convenient accessory I sport with most of my outfits – the belt. While western clothes and belts seem to be the obvious choice, pairing belts with Indian ensembles immediately creates a quirky  fashion statement! I often pair belts with dresses which are loose fit(creates a whole new look) here is a one of the looks I adapted to nail this trend effortlessly.

This is a pale gold Dhoti dress with a cape which I had bought right after my pregnancy. Needless to mention, I shed a few kilos and the fit looked nothing like it did before That’s when this belt from Label Life came to my rescue. This could be worn over the cape as well, I used it under though. Now, I wear this in 3 different ways with and without the belt 😉

PARO WITH A TWIST!

The ubiquitous bridal saree for a Bengali woman would be the white and red saree. The shades can differ from a bold crimson to a sizzling scarlet, from a subtle maroon to a girly cherry red but the red on white has to stand out just like the vermilion on the bride’s head. Since time immemorial, we have heard of the legendary Devdas and when Sanjay Leela Bhansali recreated the same in the grandest way possible, all I could think of is getting my hands on a gorgeous white and red saree very similar to the one Paro wore. So, this was one of the most priced possessions in my wedding trousseau. I have worn it umpteen number of times pairing it with different kinds of blouses but this time, I decided  to style it with a long jacket and thankfully, a friend of mine could recreate the piece just as I had imagined.

The embellishment on my jacket was that of a bird and cage and the earrings I picked up from an exhibition was that of birds with wide spread wings. jacket 3

Hair accessory picked up from a local salon which I later used as choker as well 🙂

Makeup by yours truly !I must mention the 2 products which stand out in the pictures – Huda Beauty Lashes in Claudia and Stunna Red lips by Fenty Beauty.

A saree will never go out of fashion and the good news is there are so many ways to style it that the same one can be worn several times without looking the same. Hope you enjoy recreating this look.

ONE SHOULDER FORMAL YET CASUAL

The one shoulder trend is at its peak. Most of the online shopping websites are flooded with varied options of one shoulder tops and dresses. I picked up this satin olive green one shoulder blouse and carried it to one of my holidays. I always thought I could only wear it to a formal party with a pencil skirt and high heels but guess what!I finally wore it to a day long excursion with my all time favorite ONLY skinny black pants and Silver Laceup Cupsole Trainers from KOOVS!Here are few pictures from this look –
